These hill, tempo, and fartlek runs are really paying off. Four weeks into training mode and I can sense improvement. These type runs are something new for me. Allbeit, they are hard but why would you do them if they were easy? Right? By far I think that my favorite seesion is the fartlek run. Speed play; maybe because it contains the word play. What is your favorite session. By the way, week 3 went great. I was scheduled for an 8 mile long run, but did 9.3. When I got to mile 7 I was cruising so I blazed past 8 and killed it. All miles were negative splits. Great week ender. Totaling 23 miles.

One thing that I really need to start doing immediately is getting more sleep! What I did before is actually keep a sleep journal and average out the last 7 days. If I started getting more tired, then I would take a look at it, or know off hand. On that note, Good Night!
Mon - 3.4 miles easy
Tue - 6 miles The Hills Have Eyes
Wed - 3.47 miles easy
Thu - 5 mile tempo run
Fri - 3.5 miles
Sat - 7 mile long run Felt great, did not stop for anything, just kept on moving it.
Total Miles - 28.4
Weight - 198 lbs
Total loss - 2 lbs
Every thing so far is coming together nicely. I am really looking forward to this year's Fall marathon in my home state, NC.
