In the area of Central Pa, and other parts of the US, there are some major flooding issues going on right now. With that said, the Harrisburg Half Marathon that was scheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 11th, is now postponed until Oct. 9th. For me, this is really good news, for it gives me another month to refocus and get some decent training in that I was lacking. Not to say that I was not ready for the race, but I am not at my best. My motivation has been lacking and my diet way off kilter. I know, though, for many that this is not so good news. If there was anyone scheduled for the Half Marathon and unable to do it on the 9th of Oct., there is another option. You can get a refund, and do the Gettysburg North South Half Marathon on Oct. 30th. Now, I know that I have not been blogging of late, and I have not been reading as well. I don't really have any excuses other than the lack of will and motivation as stated above. It's time to get back on track. By the way, I have been doing some speed work, and we also now have a little Running Group in Dillsburg, PA now long awaited. I have thought about the fact that I am not doing a Full Marathon this fall and have come up with a plan. A 30 week plan that is. I have my sights set on a very nice flat Spring marathon for 2012. In between now and when my 30 week Training Starts, I have a few Half Marathons on the books, and will be doing some 5ks, 10ks, and the likes. I will be blogging and reading your blogs too. I have come back to the true spirit of Running. Spring Marathon Campaign, here I come!!!!!
