Another Year Gone, and a New One Quickly Approaching!

After some thought, I will not make any resolutions for the New Year when it comes to running. If I make resolutions and do not follow through, then I might be dissappointed. If I don't make any and just plug away, I just might surprise myself. I do, however, hope to improve in 2012 with speed, weight, and all those other things. I have a Marathon planned in May and a Half Marathon planned in September, so I hope to obtain 2 PBs in 2012. I have much hopes in 2012 for a very good year. I am also thinking about doing the Gateway Outer Banks Marathon in November. A chance for me to visit North Carolina and a 3rd PB. Whooohoooo! Speaking of NC, I really miss the weather there, the very mild winters, if you want to call it a winter. lol. So stepping into the New Year, I know what I must do to excel. Now I just have to do it. I had a lot of good memories in 2011 which will stay with me forever. Looking forward to a brighter and faster 2012. Ya'll take care, and have a Great New Years.

I don't think resolutions are necessary either. I like to think about the things I don't want to carry over into the new year instead. Happy New Year to you and your wife, Kenley! I so look forward to reading about your journey next year, it's going to be grand! (btw, I had a client do the Outer Banks Marathon this year...he enjoyed it a lot but said that bridge was a doozy! :)).

I suppose my running resolution is to keep on keeping on! I don't know how far I've run, but if I may, I've run on five continents and probably easily over 50,000 miles.

I used to work on the Outer Banks. It's flat except the bridge. More than likely, it'll be the wind that influences your performance should that marathon make your list as the year transpires.
